Spanish Wells and Harbour Island
There are two towns of interest on the north end of the island: Spanish Wells and Harbour Island.
Due to its thriving crawfish industry, Spanish Wells – named for the Spanish explorers who put ashore in search of fresh water and provisions – is one of the wealthiest communities in the Bahamas.
