Montego Bay
Montego Bay is Jamaica's most famous tourist destination. It is the face of Jamaican tourism, the capital of the island's tourism industry. It is of course a bayside city, home to some of the Caribbean's most lavish resorts, where one can easily lose oneself in the trappings of its inherent luxury. Yet, here is also a city that affords ample opportunities for visitors to meet the local people and learn about the rich culture of this prosperous community.
Montego Bay is the second largest city in Jamaica, after Kingston, and third largest by population, after both Kingston and Spanish Town, with nearly 100,000 residents. It also has another distinction: it is home to the country's busiest cruise pier, and the starting point for most travelers visiting in Jamaica.
