Bozeman

Yellowstone area towns such as Bozeman are abloom with trendy shops and eateries. Bozeman, the region’s hub city with over 25,000 residents, projects a mixed image. The historic gateway to gold country named for John Bozeman of Bozeman Trail fame is fast succumbing to 21st-century trendiness. Once sleepy Old West towns like Livingston and Red Lodge have been “discovered” by the chic set, causing prices and native Montanans’ blood pressure to rise.

Value shifts aside, Yellowstone Country offers weeks’ worth of adventure for sightseers, serious adventure seekers, and carloads of folks in-between.
