Madame Bara and her staff welcome Americans in English to this charming, three-story hotel with panoramic views of Fort-de-France Bay from the heights of Anse Mitan. The rooms are small, with functional furniture and decorations that are modern and clean, but hardly deluxe. No matter. You will spend all your time at the nearby beaches, shops and restaurants on Pointe-du-Bout. Each air-conditioned room has a telephone, TV, bathroom with shower, narrow balcony and a small refrigerator. About half the rooms have a kitchenette for preparing light meals. On the grounds you’ll find an outdoor pool, game room, restaurant, playground, and a large terrace for relaxing and admiring the views.
