Striking architecture and lush tropical surroundings are the hallmarks of Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.
This award-winning resort features more than 3,200 guest rooms and suites, including 424 accommodations managed by the Four Seasons (which has its own separate entrance, lobby, restaurants and pool area ) and 100 House of Blues themed rooms (on the 34th floor); a one-of-a-kind retail experience; the Vegas production of Broadway's Mamma Mia; the House of Blues concert hall and restaurant; award-winning restaurants and lounges; the unique Shark Reef; and an 11-acre sand-and-surf beach and lagoon.
The ultra-comfortable accommodations feature such amenities as desks with two chairs, his and hers lighted closets, dual-line phones with computer and data ports, floor-to-ceiling windows and separate soaking tubs and showers. The contemporary suites feature a sophisticated topical theme with wet bars, refrigerators, dining sets and spa tubs.
Mandalay Place is a one-of-a-kind retail experience, located on a 100,000-square-foot sky bridge that connects Mandalay Bay and Luxor resorts. Stores unique to Las Vegas - not found anywhere else on the Strip - include Fornarina, Nike Golf and Urban Outfitters, Shoe Obsession.
Entertainment options abound here; the spacious casino has over 120 gaming tables, 2,200 slot machines, a high-limit gaming parlor, poker room and a 300-seat, full-service race and sports book. The Mandalay Bay Theatre hosts the smash hit "Mamma Mia!," the musical based on the hit songs of ABBA. The House of Blues concert hall hosts an eclectic mix of musicians, such as Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Guns N' Roses and LeAnn Rimes. This legendary name in the music industry also manages the exclusive International House of Blues Foundation Room on the top floor of Mandalay Bay. And Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce evokes images of an old school, back-alley burlesque club and lounge.
Chef Hubert Keller's celebrated San Francisco restaurant, Fleur de Lys, recently joined an already stellar dining scene that includes Charlie Palmer's Aureole, Wolfgang Puck's Trattoria del Lupo, China Grill, Border Grill, rumjungle, Red Square, Red White and Blue and the adjacent Charlie Palmer Steak and Verandah Café at the Four Seasons.
Not your typical attraction, Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay transports visitors to an aquatic world where 2,000 creatures from the world's tropical waters make their home. Mandalay Beach features sand-and-surf (waves up to six feet high), a lazy river ride and three pools. The nearby Spa Mandalay provide guests with the ultimate in relaxation treatments.
Mandalay Bay is also home to 190,000-square-feet of convention space and nearly 60,000-square-feet of space in the Events Center; the adjacent four-level Mandalay Bay Convention Center has nearly 1.5 million-square-feet of exhibit space.
It also features the boutique accommodations of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay.
