The Gold Spike is considered a good deal in a good location -- just a block away from the excitement of the Fremont Street Experience and next to the California hotel and casino. The Gold Spike's more than 100 rooms are reasonably priced and include for guests a free breakfast each day in the 24-hour diner. Many rooms feature a great balcony view of the Fremont Street action. On the casino floor of the seven-story hotel, there are 350 slots and a few table games, including $2 blackjack. There's also a bar where you'll find drinks at a great price, even if you're not playing.
