Family owned and operated winery, with nearly 500 acres of estate vineyards, originally established in 1961 by Joseph and Alice Heitz. The winery is notable primarily for its delightful Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sanvignon, which comes from Tom and Martha May’s vineyard near Oakville in the Napa Valley. The winery also produces another vineyard-designated varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from its Bella Oaks Vineyard, and Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and an estate-bottled Grignolino Rosé. A couple of dessert wines round out the Heitz roster. Tasting and sales daily 11am-4.30pm; tours by appointment.
