AmariWatergate Hotel Don’t let the name “Watergate” put you off. This 575-room hotel gets its name from the nearby Pratunam market: “Pratu” means gate and “Nam” means water. Shoppers and businessmen have the best of both worlds. The hotel is close to both theWorld Trade Center and the Siam Square shopping mall. Sukhumvit Road and Silom are a short distance away. There’s plenty of space if you want to give a party. The grand ballroom can handle up to 1,000 guests for a cocktail party or seat 800 for a banquet.
