Assuming you’re not opposed to climbing an absurd number of steps up a steep stairway to reach the hotel’s reception, this moderate hotel could be a good choice. Built in the 13th century by the doge to accommodate visiting merchants bringing their goods to the nearby Rialto market, it served this purpose for centuries until it was converted into a private noble residence in the 18th century. When it reopened in the 1950s as a hotel, they clearly didn’t have the resources (or the need) to install an elevator, and that doesn’t appear to have changed. Of course, we sympathize with building codes and architectural restraints on historical buildings, but an elevator would certainly make this easier.
