A pleasant (if long) six-hour walk leads from Bevagna along rolling hills to Torre del Colle and back via Limigiano. Cyclists should head out of town to the 16th-century Santuario della Madonna delle Grazie to visit its early wooden crucifix and enjoy the great views over the countryside in the process. Or you can take a tour of one of the nearby medieval castles, such as Cantalupo, Castelbuono, Limigiano, Gaglioli, Torre del Colle or Gualdo Cattaneo. The last sits surrounded by wooded hills perfect for walks and horseback riding. Book these through the Associazione SIT near Gualdo.
