Teatro Romano is part of a monumental archeological complex of ancient Etruscan, Roman and Lombard ruins within its eight acres of hillside. Stretching up to the remains of Etruscan walls at the back (so imposing that at one time superstitious locals believed them to be the work of giants), sites not to miss include the Etruscan temple (fourth century BC); the 3,000-seat Roman theater (home to an outdoor cinema during Fiesole Estate); the Roman baths; and the Lombard tombs. Nearby is the Antiquarium Costantini. Ticket includes entrance to the Teatro Romano and the Museo Bandini).
