A narrow passageway facing the entrance to the castle takes you directly to the typical two-tone (white alberese and green marble) façade of the 13th-century Chiesa di San Francesco. Inside, you’ll find Rossellino’s tomb of Gemignano Inghirami (on the left of the single aisle), Marco Datini’s tomb (in the floor near the high altar), and in the cloister (1439-40) the Cappella Migliatori with frescoes by the early 15th-century Florentine painter Niccolò di Pietro Gerini (Crucifixion and Life of St Mathew on the right and Stories of St Anthony the Abbot on the left).
