The Padule’s research center leads guided bird-watching visits to the reserve in English every July (Sat, 9 am-noon) on a tour that takes in the impressive heronry and some of the 150 bird species sighted here. There are also occasional evening visits (7:30-10:30 pm), which allow you to watch the sunset with the sounds and calls of the reserve’s birds and animals. Book in advance through the center.
