On the Buda side, buses 112 and 8 connect to Ferenciek tere and thus all points. It is also a healthy walk if you are so inclined. There is enclosed parking in the back. While not a family hotel per se, it has what a family on a budget needs. From Nov 1 to March 15 there are discounts for five or more. Csider Gábor, the director, has established a help-with-all-questions staff policy.
The Tabán, a wide city park, and Gellért Hill are one block away going east, and several parks and the MOM Park shopping mall (which includes a cinema that plays English-language movies) are within a few blocks going west; alternatively, walk or take the bus to Castle Hill. You can also rent their stock of always new bicycles with luggage racks. The business center has Internet and all rooms have TV and are relatively large.
Each unit comes with kitchenette, refrigerator and bath. Do not look for atmosphere and it lacks air-conditioning, but you can buy groceries and fix a home-cooked meal. Their János restaurant, minus the glitz of more famous spots, serves topnotch Hungarian cuisine, with real Hungarian wines. Its primary customers are Hungarians!
