About 10 minutes stroll, a world away from the Cathedral and centuries past, is the Technik Museum (Technology Museum). The most popular exhibits relate to transportation, ranging from old cars to locomotives and airplanes that can be seen close up and in some cases even entered for closer inspection. The crowds’ favorite is a Lufthansa Boeing 747. Also popular is the cramped interior of a 46-m (150-foot) German submarine dating from the late 1960s. An IMAX theater forms part of the complex.
