Two km (1.2 miles) northwest of Cochem is the Moselromantik-Silencehotel Weißmühle. It is partly in an old mill. Rooms are in either country-house style or more rustic, with farmhouse-type furniture. A thick forest surrounds the hotel, a world away from the crowds that sometimes clog the Mosel towns. The restaurant serves classic and local cuisine.
