Once an abandoned train station, the Flèche d’Or is now a bar-club-restaurant popular with a diverse crowd from students and locals to fashion groupies and artsy intellectuals. A great place to go if you’re allergic to dress codes and i20 cocktails. It has the atmosphere of a squatted warehouse with a diverse live music program, and is often packed to the rafters for Tuesday open-mike nights (scènes ouvertes). The restaurant, in a glassed-in terrace, has a selection of hearty salads and light snacks for Euro 7- Euro 15; open Tuesday-Saturday from 8:30pm, brunch Sunday 11am-3pm. Call before heading all the way up there, since disputes between cranky neighbors, the artistic management and the café owners often result in unexpected closures.
