If you’re staying three nights (the minimal rental), check out this resort community on rolling hills within walking distance of gorgeous Jan Thiel Baai. Scuba Do Dive Center (PADI five-star) offers diving and snorkeling trips from the beach, and the resort shuttle runs guests into town a few times each day. Or, just hang out in one of the comfy cloth lounge chairs beside the natural-rock swimming pool. You’ll be out of the main tourist area, with mostly European (predominantly Dutch) neighbors. At meal time, wander over to the pool-side restaurant, which often features live music in the evenings.
