This is the premier hotel on the two islands. The hotel has its own airstrip, and the management can arrange for you to be flown in direct from Nassau or Florida. It’s an old-world type of establishment where the atmosphere is easy-going and quite colonial. The rooms, while a little austere, are comfortable, with nice bathrooms and two double beds. This is a friendly place where you’ll soon get to know every member of the staff, as well as the other guests. Speaking of the staff, everyone pitches in: cooks double as waiters, bar tenders double as guides, or might even take you bonefishing. Dress is casual, and rates are reasonable, starting around $100 per night.
