At the far end of the trail, Gold Rock Beach lies on the windswept south side of the island. It’s often deserted, but always appealing, with magnificent views of the wide sandy shore, emerald waters, and Gold Rock itself jutting up out of the ocean a half-mile offshore. Gold Rock Beach is one of those places you see in commercials. It’s a strip of tropical paradise where, in all likelihood, you’ll find yourself alone to swim and snorkel in the clear shallow waters. Return to your vehicle by continuing on along the trail, which loops around the park, over the mangroves, to end at the park entrance where it began.
