A tourist information center for the Puerto Rican Tourism Company is housed at La Casita (“little house”), at Plaza Dársenas (on Calle Commercio in front of the federal building) in Old San Juan, 787-722-1709. It is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (closes at 5.30 p.m. Thursday and Friday), and is a logical place to get all the information you need on San Juan San Juan. In fact, a good way to embark on a tour of San Juan is to stuff your pockets with flyers, have a shot of rum on the house, and set out on your colonial adventure.
