A picturesque and typical Andean village, with a hugely popular Sunday market centered around local handicrafts and produce, which draws hordes of tourists from nearby Cuzco as well as farther afield. There are also smaller markets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and scores of colorful little handicraft shops in the village. Besides which, there are ancient Inca ruins all but a stone's throw from the village that are well worth visiting too.
