Aysgarth Station extends New England hospitality, and quiet country comfort in a uniquely casual atmosphere. Situated in downtown Bar Harbor .... just a short walk to the waterfront and town center, where you’ll find a wealth of distinctive shops and incredible eateries .... and only a 5 minute drive to the Ferry Terminal for traveling to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Enjoy beautiful Acadia National Park, and take a day trip to the islands surrounding Mt. Desert. Shop in downtown Bar Harbor and sample some of New England’s crafts and Maine’s wondrous food delicacies. Finish up each day at Aysgarth Station relaxing in front of a cozy fire, and start the next with a scrumptious hearty country breakfast that will please any traveler. Accommodations include queen size beds, air conditioning, private bathrooms and delightful afternoon refreshments. There may be more elegant B&B's in town, but you won't find one that's more comfortable! Built in 1895, Aysgarth Station has seen generations come and go; it has been a private residence and for many years provided room and board for the Greyhound Bus Drivers who came and went throughout the years. Our 100+ year old home located on a quiet side street in downtown Bar Harbor now provides guests with country comfort in a uniquely casual atmosphere. Aysgarth Station offers wonderfully comfortable rooms, full hearty country breakfasts and delightful afternoon refreshments.
