The János Étterem is the second restaurant in the Best Western János Atrium Hotel in Siófok, completely different from the café in its feeling. Low lights, elegant woodwork, and turn-of-the-19th-century decorations give the impression of subdued elegance. The menu is Hungarian with some international dishes. It was a favorite of the composer Kálmán and his wife, whose photos and comments adorn the entry wall. Vera Kálmán’s favorite dish was said to be Balaton fogás – a giant pike perch found in Lake Balaton.
