The metro stop is at Széchenyi Fürdõ (Széchenyi Baths), just up from the city zoo. On the website click információk for hours and telephone numbers, or click jegyrendelés for tickets (classified by colors that are shown on the map of the circus ring). Get the blue tickets at a minimum (1,700 HUF per adult). Children under 14 are discounted 20%. Their regular shows are interspersed with closed periods, especially in Sept. The shows are set in a circle, as in a big time tent circus, and virtually every seat offers an excellent view, although the green and yellow tickets are pretty far away, or set next to the band, almost unbearably loud. Aband plays from a bandstand for some shows. The lower ring ticket seats (red) place you within touching distance of the clowns, trapeze artists and gymnasts or the animals as they run around the ring! Advance tickets are sold at the circus windows inside the main entrance and selected outlets (see website). The Budapest Metropolitan Circus started in 1891, one of the oldest circuses and the only indoor circus in all of Europe. Every two years a Circus Festival is held.
