The rustic accommodations of Proyecto Campanario Biological Reserve and Field Station are within walking distance of the national park and a stone’s throw from a lovely beach. They attract tourists who have a genuine interest in learning about the rainforest and the diverse ecology of Corcovado. It’s a no-frills research field station with four private tent cabins or lodge with shared bath, dorm-style living. Director and educator Nancy Aitken offers a variety of enjoyable ecological field trips such as kayak trips in the mangroves, horseback riding, hiking, tide pool studies, snorkeling, scuba diving and Caño Island day tours. She also offers special Conservation Camps and Tropical Ecology courses. An unforgettable experience for just US $100 per day.
