The most recognized site on the island is the Brac, the sheer bluff that is visited by hikers and nonhikers alike. To reach the bluff, follow the gravel road north off Ashton Reid Road, the island crossroad. The gravel road runs six miles to a lighthouse. This area is a favorite with bird watchers. Here, the 180-acre Parrot Reserve is home to endangered Cayman Brac parrots. Only 400 of the birds remain in the wild on this island.
