Hotel Blaha Lujza, open from March through December, was once owned by “The Nightingale of the Nation,” Lujza Blaha, singer and actress at the turn of the century. Although the two-story hotel fronts Blaha Lujza út, the back joins with the Borcsa Étterem (Borcsa Restaurant). In summer it’s open April 1 to Oct 31, 10 am to 11 pm, Nov 1 to Mar 31, 11 am to 10 pm (see Places To Eat). Although rooms are small, all have color cable TV, mini bar, telephone, safe, and shower/bath, plus there is a fitness room, solarium, sauna, tennis court, and enclosed parking lot.
