If you like the idea of 12 hours on the high seas and can get a group together, you can go deep-sea fishing for tuna and dolphin from a number of Riviera ports.

Typically, a day-trip from 6 am to 6 pm, on a radar- and safety-equipped powerboat, costs about euro 200 per person, including all food, drinks and fishing gear. Guigo Marine, based in Cannes, takes groups of six people or more after tuna, swordfish or dolphin on its 14-m/46-foot boat.

If you can fill the boat, the captain will pick up your group in Antibes or another nearby port.
