Rum Point is on the north coast of Grand Cayman's East End, on the tip of a peninsula that’s home to ca-suarina trees, chalky sand, aquamarine waters, and a club with just about every watersport imaginable. This getaway spot now has restaurants, a gift shop, walkways and hammocks, and other amenities for a relaxing and pleasant visit. You can get to Rum Point by car (about an hour’s drive from George Town, as you have to circle almost the entire island) or on the Rum Pointer ferry, which departs from the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman. This 120-passenger ferry travels across the North Sound to Rum Point in about 30 minutes. Tickets are CI $6 each way; for children aged five-12 they are CI $3 each way (children under age five travel free).
